I was in Stamford on Sunday for a car show.
While wondering around the town I spotted this B180 CDi.

Now I'm not a fan of AMG badging when a car has absolutely no AMG paraphernalia whatsoever, but why on earth would you badge it with an imitation AMG badge?! Still, it gave me a giggle ;)

Shortly afterwards, I spotted this pleasent gem by the High Street!
Unfortunately I couldn't get a front shot, but it appeared to have an AMG front bumper.

Why Oh Why do they do it?

Reminds me of seeing Turbo badges stuck on standard fiestas and clios, makes me smile.

I had my first car in 1983: it was an Austin 1300 from 1972.

XR2 and XR3s were all the rage at the time but I couldn't afford one of those so I made up a badge to stick on the back of my Austin.

It said XR1 :D

Maybe the non standard stick on rear spoiler qualifies it for AMG status?
