Had an advisory on my last MOT, oil leak but not excessive.

Last thing I want is any harm to the engine so of course I will be monitoring vigilantly (Even more so).

I have very recently had rocker covers removed for some engine work, a few months ago sump was removed for an oil leak and resealed. Also a couple of weeks ago a B service was carried out.

All sorts playing through my mind, could recent works be responsible, should the service have reported an oil leak following the health check?

Thinking maybe a good clean of the engine area is required, lower down more so. Top does look clean, no signs of leaking.

I can see oil traces on some of the metal underside of the car, not loads.

Any recommendations about cleaning this area of the car, and any other steps worth while taking? Thinking if I do need to take it somewhere a clean engine area will help if any investigations are required.

Hoping it's not the "o" ring I have read about.

Gotta say though never noticed any oil loss on the dip stick.
