Greetings everyone i am planning to put an OM617
turbo and trans from a W126 into a RHD W140
280/320 and this are things that i would need info on.

1. would the this engine bolt up to the 140 chassis
with little to no mods?
2. how can i make the guages work with the
existing cluster to the 617. Examples
RPM,speedometer,fuel guage,oil
pressure,coolant temp
3. how can i make the ac work on this swap

i know 606,603 can be fitted but i cant seem to find
them readily only the 602 are able to be only found in
my region
this is what i am trying to achive as shown below any input would be great

Keep looking for a 606 or 603. The engine will fit but there will be many customizations needed. The trans won't bolt up as the 617 uses the older bolt pattern from the 70's. If this is a petrol engine car, you have a steep hill to climb.

Why are you doing this conversion?

Its going to be tricky and some fabrication is certainly required.

The 617 is not a good idea, way too much engineering required to make that work.

As said above keep hunting for a om603 or om606, the w140 is a heavy car so you will need some power to shift it. The om602 can be used if that is all you can get, but it will be slow unless it's the turbo version.
