Hi my W211 has developed a weird fault, when car is stationary and revs applied engine revs ok but as soon as you take your foot off the pedal theres a vibration and a growling noise which didn't exist before. I plugged in an obd scanner and 3 faults showed.
P2237- power train (current fault)
2) O2 sensor positive current control circuit/open bank 1 sensor 1.
P2A00 -power train (current fault)
O2 sensor circuit range/performance bank 1 sensor 1
P2664 - power train
B rocker arm actuator control circuit high bank 2.
As I am at work I haven't really had chance to do any in depth investigation. But I checked the the oil level and it was on max. Which when I did a service a couple of weeks back was halfway on dipstick, so I'm assuming whatever is faulty has caused my oil level to rise. Can a faulty O2 sensor cause the oil level to rise maybe overfueling. Any help would be appreciated.

The temp is rock steady when driving there is no eml but I've just checked the coolant and its slightly low. There is no emulsification on oil filler cap, if it is the head gasket what other symptoms should I be finding.

I don't think it will be the o2 sensor causing the problem. Faulty o2 sensors are quite common on the om642 and does not generally seem to affect the running of the car (but there is still the chance I suppose).
HG failure is very rare on this engine so that's unlikely. More likely to be DPF related (if there is one fitted) or injector problems?
If fuel is getting into the sump then it needs fixing asap as the diluted oil won't do the engine any good at all.
I would be finding a good local indi with star in your position.

I am going to suck some oil out later is there anyway of checking for the presence of diesel in the oil.
By the way there is no dpf, could be injectors, would star show up injectors as there is no eml.

Drain some oil off and see if things improve. Sounds like it's overfilled.

I'm pretty sure it was in between min and max but now it's on max but I will drain some. Going to get some kip now just finished my shift will keep you posted.

Just in the process of removing the oil. It's very watery and runs off the dipstick leaving it very clean. Somehow I have got fuel in the oil. Been in touch with a couple of injector specialist and they can get them tested, the opinion is that one or more of the injectors are stuck open and unburnt fuel is getting into engine. I am on a tight budget and I was wandering if good diagnostic reader would tell me if a particular injector is faulty maybe through live data.

Injectors are fine. According to an independent engine specialist It looks like the HP fuel pump inner seal is leaking letting diesel into engine oil, but without changing the pump I won't know so I have ordered a secondhand unit and will swap out. I presume it's a straight swap, no timing marks to line up etc. If anyone's changed one and feels I need to do it a certain way any input would be appreciated.

Finally my car is back on the road. I made the mistake of ordering a second hand hp fuel pump, never again. On fitting it engine management light came on along with a screaming noise from my tank incorporated fuel pump, needless to say secondhand pump was faulty so I decided to get my pump reconditioned. Whilst waiting decided to do drivers side control arms along with both front wheel bearings which I had been wanting to do for a while. Everything seems to be good and oil level has been fine.
I used pf Jones in Manchester for pump recon. Customer service could have been better but got a printout of final test results and plenty of bits renewed.

Yes I have searched threads before once the person finds or discovers the problem doesn't bother to post end results very frustrating really as in my opinion this is where forums come into there own.
