om642 smoke after remap

I've recently removed my dpf from my om642 powered 350 coupe (I know bad) and had a remap placed on the vehicle. The car drives perfect is very smooth and powerful but as soon as it gets onto full boost it smokes like an old train. I know it's possible to get a diesel mapped with minimal to no smoke as I've seen and had it many times. The car had no problems before hand. Does this sound like a crap remap or has the remap shown a pre existing problem would like to know people's opinions and previous experiences with this engine and what they are like after remaps as I'm really not keen on the terrible amount of smoke. When doing normal driving it is smoke free and boosts well but as soon as it is full throttle it is like a rubbish version of James bonds car which to me makes it seem like the map is just a bit rich up top.

You have removed the item that stops the smoke... what did you expect? It won't pass an legitimate MOT now and is no longer road legal....but you knew that. I think this forum won't allow discussion of illegal activity....but sometimes you can get away with it. I think it will be pretty gutless if your map it to run without smoke without a DPF....as they will have to make it run on less fuel under full noise. Good luck sorting your problem.

I get what your trying to say but black smoke is unburned fuel so they must be able to map it to use all the fuel and then not put any more in. I'm not after opinions on legality or morals. Just wanted to know if it sounded like a shit map( which I suspect) or a problem which has been magnified by the map

If you drove the car without the dpf and before the remap did it smoke?
Remaps shove in more fuel so yes it will smoke more.
As stated, it is now illegal and you won't get another MOT (might invalidate your insurance if they were being picky - why people risk a lifetime working to repay a large insurance loss is anyone's guess: does this risk not bother you?).
You could return to stock if you still have the dpf?

Why did you remove the DPF in the first place?
  1. Car had done so many miles that DPF was full of ash so regeneration wouldn't clear it? If so, get the DPF professionally cleaned and refit it
  2. Engine had a problem that was overwhelming the DPF? If so, it still has that problem so get it fixed and refit the DPF
  3. You wanted maximum power from your engine and saw the DPF as a barrier to that? If so, please reconsider the importance of my respiratory health in your life choices
Whatever, your remap is clearly unsuited to your engine as it stands. Maybe the injectors were already a bit worn (option 2 above) and without the DPF to catch the soot this is now obvious. I assume it was an off-the-shelf remap so the state of your engine wasn't factored in to it.
