I am very disappointed that Remote Parking has been disabled for my 2017 E300 Coupe. Typical of MB not looking after loyal customers. Any thoughts?

Pay the subscription!! Unless you know a good hacker/car software techy that would be about the only way. I'm sure they would have told you at the purchase point though?

What on earth do you mean? They have removed it completely from Digital Extras.

OK.........so it must be the old 3G one......the old Vodafone 3g is being closed down...there is a company on this forum doing 4G conversions....Im sure he and others with more knowledge will be along soon!

Possibly removed for legal/safety/liability reasons? The 'active' bit of MB Park Assist was withdrawn on most (all?) models because of a UN regulation that came in.

Mine activates (2016 E400) and gets underway.
I bottled out last use (for fun) a couple of months ago.

Can they remotely deactivate when the car is not ' connected' and hasn't been for over 2 years,

The E300 Coupe is a C207 and based on the C-Class W204.

The C-Class W205 didn't get 4G before the 2018 face-lift, and as far as I know the E-Class Coupe only got 4G with the 2018 C238 model.

So it's very likely the issue is related to the Vodafone 3G shutdown.

My car has 4G. Remote parking assist works now but is being withdrawn at the end of this month. Nothing to do with 3G/4G as it uses Bluetooth.

I have remote parking on my car (not MB). Only used it once, to amaze the family, back in 2021 when the car was new. Never saw the need.

My point is that if - like me - there are many others who aren't using this feature (and won't pay for it) - then maybe it's simply no longer economically viable for MB to continue and support it?

As mentioned I suspect this is a legal thing as MB have already had to disable some of the auto-parking functionality that required you to be sitting in the vehicle, never mind standing outside it and operating it with your phone.
