I don't understand this at all!

I like to know what the external temp is from my car. The E63 allows you to display this on the instrument cluster, unless you have a United Kingdom model.

WTF????

Anyone know a way around this?

Cheers

WTF. I can't answer your question...wtf is that about. Anyway, going to have my dinner now...wtf, hope you get sorted by someone with more knowledge. WTF.

wtf???:d:d:d:d

Ridiculous, isn't it?

It's easy to ask a question without the superfluous need for WTF...agreed?

It's also easy to read a post and not comment with a sarcastic non helpful answer....

And you are following your own advice?

No I never follow my own advice.... Just making sure the OP and other posters feel they can post a question (however grammatically acceptable it is perceived) and receive answers based on the actual topic...

Very noble but we do have an administration to team to ensure forum rules are followed!

The objection raised was not in relation to grammar either.

Well then...give him an answer.

BTW...the answer is it can't be done except by a specialist outside the dealer network.

The E63 is too new to be coded like older models. AFAIK The newer ones from approx '09 have to receive a code file direct from Germany, so don't expect any non approved functions to be supported.

Why are you acting like an idiot. If you don't know the answer then don't reply. I don't need to come here for spelling/grammar/English lessons.

WAK!

:(

Many thanks for your answer.

There was no objection, just sarcasm!

Is "WTF" really offensive? What a delicate wallflower he must be!

Anyway, if I need telling off, just let me know, sarcasm does not work for me.

You don't...but sometimes it's useful.

Anyway...as said, you can't do it...and now (re: Whitenemesis) it seems no one else can either.

HTH

Hi Gerry,

Alfie or Richard from www.comandonline.co.uk (Forum sponsors) would know if your car can be reprogrammed using STAR to revert back to original EU spec - aka 'Delete UK Mode'. Drop them an email enquiry, or use the Contact Us link on their website.

If anyone can Richard is your man but as said earlier later cars require code files from the fatherland so not as flexible as before.

Guys at COMAND are at the forefront of MB coding techniques, they will know ;)

This must be somthing that's changed since going turbo. My late 09 E63 shows outside temp
