I always thought that E36's n E500's had full/near full spec:

- Climate Control
- Electric Rear Blind
- Memory Seats
- Remote Central Locking
- AMG Bodykit
- All standard options (dual airbags etc)

Obviously it depends on the year, although most Mercs come with electric windows/sunroof, leather steering wheel/gear knob & wood trim so I wouldnt really call these options. This particular vehicle only has the real options that I have highlighted.

Hope this clears up what I said.

Although my car's not an E36, I reckon it's pretty highly specced. The options are:

Sportline (interior and underneath)
5sp Auto
Electric driver's seat
Electric passenger seat
Orthopaedic driver's seat
Heated seats
Climate
Storage box in front centre console
Storage box in rear centre console
Passenger airbag
OTG


Options I don't have are:

Cruise Control
Memory Seats
RCL (retrofitted - non OE)
Rear Sunblind
Bodykit

Body kit was optional on the E36. Coupes never had sports seats. Don't know why the lower half is two tone though. I thought by 1996 all where colour coded?

Exactly what I thought, especially as it's also described as green-black metallic (like mine). Does not have ACC either.
I also thought 1996 was the last year of production - 1997 for the cabriolet.

It would be over-priced if it were the 500E version. In fact, you could get a W210 E55 2001 model for under £16K from an Indi according to Parkers, although they tend to overprice them compared with MB delaers. I don't suppose you'd see any older AMG's in MB showrooms though, more's the pity.
