P2530 intake channel shut off

Hi can anyone give me more information on this error? Is it the swirl flap motor or arm position? I have a 2007 e320 cdi, did they have the position sensors back then? Hoping i can get away with doing the resistor mod for now as i don't intend to keep the car long now. I fear that either the motor i bought was shot or it was fitted incorrectly.

I can’t help with the swirl flap position question but trying the resistor will be a quick way to see if that resolves it before you dismantle stuff again
I have the resistors. I will try but now i find the plug is not sitting properly because the clip has broke off. Does anyone know if these plugs can be ordered separately?

Not sure what you mean , the loose resistor goes into the middle two terminals of the plug (the electrical feed to the motor) and then gets taped up so it doesn’t touch metal .

The plug that connects to the motor is a clip type but seems it's missing the clip so it was sitting in the motor correctly. Kind of fiddled with it and found i had boost after. Pic of plug incoming.

Would help if i could get hold of one of these

Can’t help with the clip purchase but the resistor fix only works if the swirl flaps are sprung open correctly. The resistor will work even if the clip is broken on the plug .
