Hi back again with a stupid problem.
I am trying to pair my iPhone to car( 2011 e-class estate ).
But I can’t get the car to show on my phones Bluetooth list.
I have ticked the Bluetooth in menu and the displays says ready/searching for Bluetooth
But nothing shows on iPhone .
Anyone ideas , have I missed something stupid 🤣
Any help would be great .
And thanks for help on the sat nav it worked a treat 👍

Firstly, power-cycle your phone.

Then, check that Bluetooth on your phone is actually switched on.

Then, make sure that your phone in discovery mode so that it is open to accept new pairing while the car is showing that it is searching for Bluetooth connectors:

As Markjay says and sometimes it’s as simple as switching Bluetooth off the on again, at least that’s the advice on Apple site when struggling with connection.

From memory (it's more than a decade since I had my 2011 E350CDI), Bluetooth Streaming capability was introduced part way through that model year, so it's possible that your car doesn't support it.

If it has the rectangular Media Interface socket in the glovebox, then you can connect your iPhone to it and have control of the music on it via the car's controls. You will need to buy the appropriate interface cable though.

I had few round that year none streamed music just connected for call use. If you switch your phone off and on again the hit blue tooth on car and slide your blue tooth on your phone off and on again while car is searching you should see the mb coming up then select and follow through.

As above.

Music streaming over Bluetooth is available with NTG4.5, but not with the earlier NTG4. 2011 was a switchover year between the two.

Check the Datacard using an online VIN decoder, and look in the 5xx section for your infotainment system. The code will tell you if it's NTG4.5 or the older NTG4.

I think you have to run it through the aux cable in the glove box if my memory serves. I think you can use a usb stick if you transfer music from your phone onto it. Apple and Comand aren’t very good bedfellows, my text feature just disappeared after one update and is yet to return
