Hi,
About to book in my car at Parkhams Garage for this week. Just wanted to ask before I did, if anyone's had any recent experiences. I know a lot of posts are there on forums however not sure they are recent. Anyways if anyone has had their car into Parkhams recently for repairs I'd greatly appreciate you sharing your feedback.
I really wanted to take it down to Olly however he's booked up pretty much for couple of weeks i believe and I will only be able to take the long drive down on Saturdays hence will have to wait till first Saturday of February which I don't want to have to do...

Will Parkhams be sufficient to solve this dreaded coolant and headlight issue? Cheers

Not recent but very nearly a year since I went there and had my brakes replaced all round plus an MOT, you can't fault Parkhams brilliant and polite service :thumb:

That reminds me, MOT time soon!

Hey Ash, anywhere else you've had your car worked on near northampton? P.s found a mobile valetting place to wash the CLK at my house for £15! Seems a good deal?

Oh yeh and do Parkhams only do Merc's aswell as they don't seem to have a website not much info about them.. ideally want a place that would have done CLKs day in and out haha

I've only ever used Parkhams, I was recommended them on here and very happy with them

I think there's one in Milton Keynes which is recommended, I have some mates that take their BMW's to a German car specialist somewhere in Northampton but they're a bit 'boy racer' compared to me plus I hadn't heard of the specialist on here

Did you book in with Nick at Parkhams? I'm not sure who else work there, I've only contacted him for work there

Re the valet, do they use their own water do you know? They sound ideal for me except I don't have an external tap for them to use that's the thing

Thanks for your reply, he did ask if I had a tap however I believe he does have his own water aswell you can always ask? Usually they do I think. He's doing mine on Sunday so I can let you know how it goes? Or I can give you contact details anyway.. he has around 8 5* review on Yell.com so I believe he should be good haha. Hopefully at least ;) I know he will take more time/care that most of those quick drive in hand washes

As for Parkhams I'm going to call tomorrow to book in, I shall ask for Nick, do you want me to say you sent me? :)

Another vote for Nick and Parkham Garage - absolutely no hesitation in recommending him.

I was there recently - sticking parking brakes (left on for five days ) and waxoyl treatment - brilliant as usual.

Nick is a true gentleman, and certainly knows his stuff - I remember I came to him in a state of panic, suspecting the torsion bar was catching on a wheel arch lining. He didn't even look, as soon as he heard the noise, he said braking plate is bent - yup, that what it was, fixed in a couple of minutes, if that, and he didn't even charge me! :thumb:

He's running the place on his own, most of the time, so might not always be able to pick the phone up right away, but the quality of work and service is absolutely top notch.

Cheers GLK, I assume he's ex-MB as he seems to be very knowledgable. Will give them a call, I was just hesitant to let any old Garage mess with my engine but after your recommendations I'm relieved.

Tell him David says hi :)

I'll be popping in in the next few days too, just for a quick chat, and maybe to adjust the parking brake - too many clicks before it engages, I think ...

Will do haha, he's fully booked till the coming Thursday :(

However after discussing with him over the phone he is very very knowledgable indeed! Very happy already haha

Heard nothing but good about Parkhams but sadly never used myself as every price for an annual service quoted so far over last 2 years has been more expensive than Main Dealer. However, last year the main dealer did something to my transmission fuel seal to the point that they had it back 4 times over 2 months to sort it out. Was not impressed one bit.

So, as it is now past 3 years old & out of MB warranty , gonna try Parkhams again. Maybe this time it will be 3rd time lucky.

I am a bit peeved however, that I'm getting a B service nag having only driven 1400 miles in the last 11 months. o_O

if you do come to MK, there's Autoclass who is a Merc Specialist.....

Just put my 500SEL to them to rebuild the Engine. seem like a decent bunch and know their stuff.
