i`m looking into getting parking sensors fitted to the rear of my 2003 ML, i need to do it a budget but i`m sure the super cheap ones on ebay won`t be much cop . . .

Anyone have any experience of any of the budget brands? I`ve had a bit of a search and around £140 quid fitted seems quite good value providing they do the job of course

Talking about doing it on a budget - in July 2011 I bought these parking sensors and they have been perfect! - never missed a bit, never gave me a false reading, and they came very closely colour matched to my car - Meteor Grey 195 :thumb:

Today, I'd probably go for more OEM-looking ones, but for the price, I'm more than happy with mine.

that blows my theory of cheap ones not working very well out of the water! :thumb:

do you have just the "beeper"? i`m not sure i need or want a display

The display for these is wireless and looks fairly oem.
I took the chance and fitted one and it works perfectly. Even the colour match of the sensors is excellent.

Yes, the display option didn't look anywhere near as good as Ted's one above, so I opted for beeper only.

I also have a hi-res reversing camera, so wasn't too bothered

As an afterthought, I would replace the rear interior light with the one with built-in parktronics display (which I might still do), so when I'm not looking at the screen, I can see the indicators... Well, that's my excuse for the mod anyway
