Part numbers

I recently replaced the coil pack on my car.
The part number on the new one was different to the old one.
So I was wondering if there is a website that lists the oiginal part numbers and their new part numbers, if you get my drift, as this could create a lot of headaches if I have to order something else.

MB often update the parts therefore part numbers change. These can be seen on the MB EPC ( Electronic Parts Catalogue ). A number of members on here have access to the system online. If you can PM me your chassis number I'll have a look and see if the part number has been updated for your car. A quick phone call to your local MB dealer's parts dept will get you the same info, I've always found my local one very helpful.
