For those who need pics, see below.

Issue is now resolved now however, but thank you for the interest.

It may look a bit of a mess, but due to water ingress, this is how far back I had to strip in order to get the Comand and HK Amp system to work. Fingers crossed I have solved it

Still wondering about the Passenger Footrest Plate!

If you had not used the word 'footrest' we may have been a bit quicker on the draw. I accessed my transmission TCU behind the cover just the other week , posted it on here including photos . But you are sorted now.

I assume you have removed the aluminium 'footrest' and made sure all the connections to the TCU behind it are dry ?

Touche Petrol Pete, I have indeed, the footrest has been removed lol

Only because with my short 'muscular' legs my feet would never touch that part of the car !
