Passenger seat buzz

hi guys,

My 2015 E-class coupe has an annoying buzzing noise that seemed to come from sunroof/rear-view mirror, but I’m now thinking it’s actually the passenger seat since the buzz stops when someone is sitting on it.

Tried stuffing cloth on the headrest but same thing happens if seat is empty, probably the seat frame or something.

I’ve also noticed that the seat back rest (don’t really know the name for it but basically where your back rests when you sit.. :)) feels a bit loose but adjusting it with the electric switch makes feel a bit more solid even though it makes the sitting position really uncomfortable cause it has to be angled forwards a lot!

Any ideas of what to look for?

Cheers!

I had a similar buzzing noise in mine.

Turned out it was the interior light cluster on the roof switch panel.

If I pressed on it whilst driving the buzzing would stop.

No idea about the seat.

Check the stowage bay door under the seat.

They normally have to be padded out with something to stop them rattling.

I have the exact same thing in my C-Class - I am not sure if it's the passenger seat headrest or the sun flap.

I also thought sum flap so I put some thick sponge between it and the roof liner but buzz is still there.
Well for now all I’ve done is drag my girlfriend everywhere I go. It definitely stops the buzzing when she’s sitting there! :D
