Very interesting video comparing various 99 octane fuel brands…

Too many external variables to be meaningful.
If you're driving on track with split second timing it might make a difference but for Joe Public on the road, meaningless..

That engine wasn't being treated very sympathetically on the dyno. Into the red on every run. No limiter?

Who won?

Interesting that Tesco came out top - again! Years (a decade plus!) ago, in my 968 ownership days, I decided to treat what was now my weekend toy to something better than 95RON - which she'd run well on for years - and as a result of a comparative test I saw then settled on Moventum, and mostly stuck to it. Supermarket fuel eh??!! My 968 coupe then cab ran really well on it.

The power differences wasn't the key take-away for me; more important was the differences in 'knocking' between the fuels. It did correlate to the power output and I interpreted it as meaning that Momentum and V-Power will reduce the amount of knock. Esso 95 in a high performance engine sounded like a death penalty, especially if you often put lots of load on the engine, eg booting your car in a high gear, from low revs.
