PLEASE HELP!!!-ECU Problems

Hi there!My name's michael and i guess as you would say im a newbie!!


I finally pick up my 2002 c32 on monday, after purchasing it.On friday, i took my car to a place called paramount performance to have it put on the dyno, to have the electronic restrictor taken off , remaped and replace the standard filters with green panel filters.When i went there they pluged into my ecu, to then find out that they could not get there hardware to work with the car due to the fact that amg had basicly encrypted the ecu.they said i had to go to mercedes and have the engine software flashed (please keep with me here as i really dont know anything about engine ecu's and technical language!!lol!!), which im guessin is having the ecu sofware updated.but mercedes are saying they cant do this to my car due to it not beeing new enough as they said they can only update ecu's on 04 and onwards.Parmount need the engine ecu updated so that that the ecu won't be block.Which means they can get into it and start remaping.please can someone help, as im begging to get my c32 remaped and restrictor taken off!!what do i need to do!!!ahhhh!!Cheers

I suggest you Email AMG directly with full details of your car-- chassis number-- ecu number etc. They may be able to advise you but remember there is German legislation/voluntary agreement to restrict the top speed so I wouldn't hold out much hope. http://www.mercedes-amg.com/index2.html

There have been AMG cars having the speed limiter removed ever since it was installed.

Is 155mpg not fast enough then.?

no its not that the main reason is im uprating the supercharger pulley and headers, its purely for more bhp-taking the restrictor off is more for the reason it smooths all the gearin out.but i cant do anything as we cant access the ecu!!!crazy!!
