When i'm surfing ebay sometimes , i get a grey square come up in the middle of the screen with a red circle in it, and the message ' A runtime error has occured , do you want to de-bug ?'

The errors are ; Line **** (any number from 0 to 5000)

And then 'expected ) or ebay is undefined or syntax error or anything really'

what is this, if i click 'yes' it goes to the script editor which i know less than nothing about, if i click 'no ' then it goes away until the next time which could be 1 sec or a day . theres no rhyme nor reason.....

Its only started doing it the last couple of weeks

By the way, its windows 2000 pro ...

It does the same thing whether Zonealarm pro is running or not, same with Norton ?

What is it,its driving me bonkers......

Discounting any form of spyware, it's probably just coding errors with either the ebay site or the code used by the seller.

I would guess that you have script debugging turned on; go into Tools > Internet Options > Advanced and look for an option to disable script debugging (in IE6 it's under "Browsing"). Make sure the "Display a notification about every script error" is also unchecked.

I don't think there's anywhere else you need to check ...
