Carrera GT Crash Settled for $4.5m
The lawsuit was recently settled for a reported total of approximately $4.5 million. The contributions to the settlement were about 49% from the estate of the driver, 41% from the track owners and the event organizers, 8% from Porsche, and 2% from the driver of the Ferrari that was claimed to have triggered the crash.

I will have to reconsider buying a Carrera GT until they produce it with 'driver aids'.

Only in America...

The design and position of that concrete wall is madness, would that be legal for a new track in the UK due to is shallow run-off?

Only in America could a lawsuit come from such an accident, and indeed the resulting figure & proportions of blame for so many people

What a load of toss. You get in a car on a track with someone else at the wheel and you are putting your life in their hands. It's up to you to make sure that's a good idea.

If gross negligance is proved then the decision is right $4.5m aint nothing if you have lost your husband/wife in a tragedy that could have been avoided.
