You mean before the fast idling settles down? that is a MAf issue i think.
I thought the choke was electronic

It is a plug sensor unit between you air filter box and your engine intake. try unplugging it and see if it works better. if it does, that is your problem.
fist of all give us more car details, petrol/ diesel, auto or manual, engine size e.t.c

it is a c180 sports w202 chassis, 1999. petrol, the problem is it starts fine, but when the temp is rising i:e i assume the choke is dropping at the same time, then it idles for a few seconds and the engine starts shaking and then it goes normal.

last week it carried on doing conitnous, usually it does it when cold, i thought it was spark plugs or a loose lead, but checked all that its fine, i have k&n panel filter, thats clean too

I would suggest you get a normal filter, mate. those performance filters oil the MAF and mess your Air/fuel mixture
