Hi I'm new to the forum had a few problems with my sprinter I have now replaced the injectors but I need to know if the van needs to be remapped / reprogrammed? Would appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks for that because i've had mercedes tell me they do need to be remapped, possibly another way to get their hands in my pocket again?

The beast in question is Sprinter 2008 311 long wheel base

Parts and work added in last six months

fuel tank pump
fuel tank flush
fuel filter
air filter
high pressure pump
four injectors from mb dealer (£1200)
battery
DPF removal and remapping
oxygen sensor
MAF sensor
4 new heater plugs
and new grille (smashed it against the wall in a fit of rage. i didn't like mercedes that day sorry)
87 limp mode resets

And she's still misfiring and bellowing out smoke like a steam train.

Fitted new injectors last night at 03.00 broke down the other side of Aberdeen after driving 150 miles it just died lucky mercedes commercial were open took a taxi 20 miles to buy the injectors £1200 and a £60 taxi bill i got back to the van and replaced the injectors of course the battery died and we were in sub zero temp. managed to get a jump start £20 nice man a professional samaritan apparently same as a samaritan but charges a fee. Would not start unplugged MAF and she started, steam train at the exhaust and running badly, still misfiring not safe to drive so need to uplift back to galashiels in the scottish borders full respect to the AA they put us up in the Marriot at 4am and collected us at 10am as promised well done the AA you are the 4th emergencey service.

As u can see no expense spared on our efforts to fix the problems

So i'm at a loss am i missing the obvious

132000 miles only

ps. do have a heater plug relay fault ??

Wow, that is a big list! Was all that done at the same place???

First thing to do is get it plugged into a diagnostic computer to see what fault codes you have.

No fault cades apart from glow plug relay which I will replace tomorrow

Has a live data test been carried out?

What color smoke?
