Problems with ebay

Is anyone else having problems with ebay today - can't seem to access it?

It's been down for most of the UK and part if Europe since about 11.20 this morning. God knows what they'll do about items that have sold in this period with only a few being able to bid!!

eBay has been on some sort of self destruct spiral since March this year.

It really is shocking at the moment, long established sellers with large shops having 80% of their sales wiped out overnight and no sign of recovery.

I'm glad we got our website and Amazon store up and running before it got really bad.

There's also been a large influx of Chinese sellers that eBay are happy with advertising as "UK Sellers". The best match searches in any categories now contain two or three pages of Chinese sellers before you arrive at the first UK seller. It's not clear you're buying from China.
