Hi everybody!!!

I’m sorry if my english isn’t good enough.

Wish you could help me, because it’s driving me crazy: I can pair my HTC Touch HD with my Audio20 NTG2.5, I can hear people, but people can’t hear me.

I’ve tried with a Motorola Razr and with a LG KM900, and there is no problem with them, so I think it’s my Touch HD.

I own a 2007 w203, and have just installed an Audio20 NTG2.5. I don’t have any problem to pair my HTC with it (sometimes it doesn’t pair at the first attempt, but always pairs).

First time I paired them, everything was ok: I could phone and people heard me; my HTC ROM version was a cooked WM 6.5 (L26HDLEOV4 Ultimate 5.2.21869).

Suddenly one day one friend phoned me, and began the problem: I could hear him but he couldn’t hear me.

I tried to reset my Audio20 and begin all the process, but always the same problem: people don’t hear me.

I downgraded my ROM to WM6.1 vers. 1.56; USPL Olinex 1.56, Radio 1.13.25.24 and the problem goes on.

I don’t know how, but problem was solved when I installed jetware bluetooth,

Unfortunately I had to do a hard reset (because Opera gave me problems) and the problem appeared again, although I installed jetware bluetooth

I’ve tried to modify the registry …. bluetooth/sys entry with 52020C, the bluetooth/gateway entry, install Jetware bluetooth again, and always the same problem: I can hear people, but people don’t hear me.

I’ve downgraded my ROM to WM6.1 vers. 1.14; USPL Olinex 1.14 and Radio 1.09.25.14, and have done those mods (registry, jetware, etc.), and the problem goes on.

Mercedes says that they have tested ok Audio20 NTG2.5 with HTC Diamond and HTC HD Mini, but don’t know anythig else.

When people phone me, they hear me the first 2 seconds, and a strange noise after.

Any idea?

Thank you very much in advance

Thank you very much for your interest, grober!

That's very kind of you :thumb: .

I knew the first post you've quoted.

I'm really getting tired of my HTC / Audio20. I'm really considering to sell my HTC, or my Audio20, or perhaps both two things :dk:.

Will contact with Alfie, anyway

Thank you ;)

I used to have a touch hd until a couple of months ago. I thought it was the best fone in the world. Customised it with newer 6.5 pro roms and had it looking awesome. Then it started going downhill...bluetooth was tempermental, calls would sometimes not get picked up and i would just get a missed call message, texts wouldnt send, my email settings kept disappearing and i just couldnt live with the battery power of maximum of an hours use of wifi or half a day without using it at all.

Changed over to the galaxy s a couple of months ago and my god what a difference. I cant keep up with the speed of it and the screen is so clear and responsive.

I had problems with the bluetooth on the touch hd exactly the same as you did with my aftermarket kenwood. It would pair up fine (sometimes after a few tries) but would take ages to recognise that i was making a call and by the time it transferred to the stereo and put the sound through the car speakers the person on the other end had hung up as they couldnt hear me. Other times it would transfer instantly but then i could only hear the person and they couldnt hear me. It ended up with me having to reset the fone everytime this happened so i eventually gave up.

With the galaxy s it works a treat and can even browse my fone book using the stereo the way it should and direct dial numbers using an on screen keypad on the screen of the stereo.

My honest opinion now is that the touch hd is a friggin awful fone and would not recommend it to anyone. You can be assured that your car system is fine and there is nothing wrong with it. Its 100% the fone thats giving you problems.

Hope this puts your mind at rest a little bit. Just need to wait for your contract renewal date now lol.

Thanks for your answer, cplnoonoo!!

I'm afraid that you're right and i'll have to change my phone.

I don't know if Samung Galaxy S would be compatible with my Audio20 NTG2.5; I'd like to ask Alfie, but i don't have posts enough to send him a private.

What about android? and GPS programs running on it?

I'm thinking about iPhone 4, too, as MB says it's compatible with Audio20 NTG2.5, but they said HTC Diamond was also compatible and the answer is very different!!! :wallbash:

Cheers

I can solidly say that the galaxy s does everything that i want it to do and more. I recently got a hold of the co-pilot live pro software for android and without a doubt it is the first satnav software that i have used on a fone that was as reliable and sometimes even better than me old trusty tom tom.

The app market is pretty huge and most apps that you can get for an iphone will either be available on the android market aswell or will have a suitable alternative.

One thing the galaxy s has over the iphone is that you can use wifi tethering at will for unlimited usage(well only limited by your data allowance) and is not locked by the carrier until you purchase a wifi tethering add on package.

The screen is very bright and has good contrast which shows brilliantly when watching hd videos and browsing youtube. The camera and video recorder take hd videos at 720p aswell and they are brilliant quality. I used it quite a bit for the RAF leuchars airshow a couple of months back. The screen is also bigger than an iphone being at 4" compared to the iphones 3.7" or whatever it sits at. It also has tv out using a standard component to 3.5mm lead like what was available on an N95 for example.

The galaxy s has swype keyboard which basically means you draw the words you want on the keyboard rather than pressing individual keys and it predicts the words for you automatically or suggests what you may have meant. It does work and is extremely accurate - so much so that i use it all the time when browsing and texting etc.

There is also the pretty nifty app called Vlingo which also has a sub app called Vlingo in-car which sets it to voice controlled for everything and you dont need to press a button to activate the voice control just need to say "hey vlingo" at anytime and it asks what you want to do.
Brilliant for messages, email, web search, calling and navigation for example if i want to email someone whilst driving i just say "hey vlingo", it asks me what i want to do then i say "email john smith at work, subject business meeting, message hey john just checking were still on for meeting this week" and it pops up email page with confirmation of email recipient subject and message, reads it all back to you then asks you to confirm. The text to speech functions allow you to install programs for more advanced speech so that it changes the pitch of the voice based around punctuation etc. Very very suave lol. Calling is just as simple say call John and it asks you which john you would like to call and so on...

Miles ahead of the iphone in my opinion and it supports flash on the new android 2.2. btw in answer to your question yes it should work with your stereo no problem.

Sorry for the very large slightly off topic post but i thought you may aswell know what you can before buying a new phone.

Thought i might add that im not associated with samsung in anyway lol

Thanks eddie24, but wifi is always off in my TouchHD :dk:

I never used the wifi on my touch hd unless i was close to a power supply as the battery would drain in about an hour from 100% so if i had managed to last the day without using wifi then using it at the end of the day was impossible as the battery would last about 5 minutes lol.

I don't have that problem, but battery doesn't last a lot: 5 hours using wifi and two days without using it.

Cheers

I had all sorts of problems hooking up an HTC touch to a hotel WiFi recently for a friend. Basically we couldnt do it. iphone connected up first time!

Using the phone (HTC) I found it to be way less intuitive than the iphone and generally rather poor.

Dear Alfie:

Thanks a lot for your answer. I wanted to contact with you but i din't know how.

I think the problem is with the Audio20, or the installation :( ...

Yesterday a tried to pair a Nokia 7370 and my wife's LG KM900 and i got it, but with the Nokia my wife didn't hear me (the same as the HTC: she says she hears a "tac tac tac", silence and again "tac tac tac") and i coudn't make a call with the LG: i didn't hear the line...

And when i reset the Audio20, sometimes it restarts inmediately and sometimes it just do nothing . It restarts if i take contact off, wait a few minutes and put contact again ¿?¿?

Suggested from a friend, i bought all the cables from Kabeldaviko (micro, bluetooth antenna, and FM Y antenna adapter) and all of them seamed to be ok.

I though installation was easy, as i had seen doing it to another folks; the one "strange" thing i did is to connect Block B pin 7 (craddle compensator) to Bloc A pin 13 (12v) as i was told it was necessary for FM antenna.

I bough Audio20 on ebay uk to Mercman77, as he said it had been removed from a car with comand retrofitted.

The problem in Valencia, Spain, is that MB technicians aren't highly trained, but i'll try to find somebody to help me.

Regards,

Fernando
