Processor upgrade help

Technet Direct Plus (£283 + VAT p.a.) Aimed at system admins/developers and includes all current and beta releases. This is the download subscription but you can also get the software delivered on media.

Actually, inc. VAT so even less expensive!

It's strange how MacOS still is visually far superior to Windows and runs even on the old G3s and G4s.

I came late to the Apple party.. 10.3 was the first Apple OS I used and upgraded to 10.4 almost immediately as I got the upgrade free, being one of the first to buy a mini. Vista has obviously taken cues from OS X.. but I don't think they've beaten it yet for desktop appeal.

I'm a child of the DOS generation though, so I'm still happiest with a command line when things turn ugly..

Cheers,

Gaz

Its a shame that Microsoft have forced the big vendors in to supplying PC's with vista and not XP. Vista in its current form sucks big time.

XP on the other hand has matured into a fine OS.

Dell have just done a u-turn on this - they were going to drop XP from the options on most of their line up but had a change of heart - especially as Vista will not work with Windows 2000 Active Directory !!
