Hello
I'm new to this website and have just purchased a Mercedes C220 CDI (W203) 2006 and I am experiencing quite annoying pulsation on the brake pedal. Has anyone experienced this problem or have any ideas how to resolve the problem.
Thanks

Hi
Thanks for responding. It'l probably be a few days before I get round to checking them, but thanks very much, I'll let you know how I get on.

As above ^^^ and check the condition of the disc surface on the inside of the disc, not the surface you can see through the wheel spokes. TBH , by the time you have taken the wheels off to inspect the disc and strip/clean the callipers you may as well replace the discs and pads. Unless you can spot an obvious problem.

I had this very recently and assumed it was a warped disc. However I swapped my wheels over to the spare set as i was having the originals refurbed, and all is well again. One of the original set was aparently quite out of true. This manifested itself in pulsating through the pedal when breaking but was totally normal at break pedal or steering wheel when not breaking up to any speed. So if your discs look fine a good wheel balance (which would pick up an out of true wheel ) might be wortwhile.

Just to be sure - the pulsating is a slow rhythmic (varying with road speed?) affair and not the rapid-fire buzz of unwarranted ABS intervention - yes?
