Just a question about the directional arrows on the filter for Climate Control in the engine compartment. When it's in situ, should these arrows be pointing down towards the ground, or upwards towards the sky? Because to fit it, you normally remove the housing and turn it on its back, fit the new filter, turn it right way up, and re-fit it.???

The arrow is not an indication of 'up' or 'down'.

Instead, the arrow is showing the direction of airflow through the cabin filter.

The arrow should point into the tract that leads into the cabin.

Ah, Thanks markjay.....I took it to mean the way the filter was placed vertically.

And another issue, right beside (or rather underneath engine climate filter) This time its the battery ( I believe) after a very cold night, car started first turn,,, no hesitation whatsoever. But then this msg came up on the screen " Do not drive. Check your surroundings and find a safe place to park. Allow the engine to run. "
Anyone else experience this? Car is a 2018 MB E class w213, 98000 miles on the clock. Battery failure Id say, but opinions welcome.

Battery, or charging system (alternator etc).

Stick a smart charger on it , the charge rate will be a give away ,as to overall condition of the battery charge state.
