R129 failed wiper ball joint.

Anyone had any joy having this replaced or is it a whole new (used) assembly req.

Certain general tools are required, Kits are supplied with instructions on how to fit the plastic bushes into the original Push rods. (you will require a pair of pliers to break/pick out out the old plastic bush, a small file to clean up the and de-burr hole and c-clip pliers. ).

I take it the ball joint is between the rotating short motor drive arm and the long reciproccating transfer arm to the jumping mechanism?

Yes that's the fella. I've had a quick response from that ebay site, apparently the Audi A6 ones fit so ordered a kit.

They come in a set of 4 so if they work and anyone wants one they're welcome to it.

New nylon sockets arrived, not reassembled yet but looks like it'll do the job. It feels a little tight so I'm going to bed it in with some cutting paste, disassemble, clean, and lube.

One thing to the R129 wipers Park on the left or right (drivers side)?

Mine parks on the drivers side..

All 3 of the Mercs I had from that era had monowipers that parked on the driver side IRRC.
