Hi
Does anyone know what this pipe is for and if I can get some replacement corrugated pipe protection. I circled in red

The plastic pipe cover is just integration on touch.

Many thanks

Hi,
The cable the pipe "protects" is the output from the alternator, so it needs a bit of protection given the way the cable is routed.
Mine has disintegrated too: It's on my "to do list".
Kind regards,

Thanks. I thought it led to behind the alternator. Just purchased this from Amazon. It is 5mm on the inside which I think matches it perfectly. https://amzn.eu/d/dPxvYsz

It comes in silly length so I will have a few spare meters. I can post some to you if it works afterwards :-)

Replaced the corrugated pipe with a 15mm one from Amazon, ofcourse now the blue jaw clamps all broke into a million pieces, i have one good one left, it is blue, I cannot figure out which part this is, looked on the MB parts website online but could not find the correct category

I did find a few candidates, as the corrugated pipe is 15mm i think 15mm or 17mm clamp will work okay, the sl shop have these available and i think the most right one is 15mm so that should fit, the original ones are kind of oval shaped.

I mean i could zip time them also

Filthy job to do btw, my engine bay is pretty clean but this is all in areas of the engine bay I have not had the pleasure of working in before and it needs a good degrease!!

All fixed. Expensive clips but slshop helped identify them for me. Another small job ticked off the list IMG_5560.jpegIMG_5554.jpegIMG_5558.jpeg
