Hi
I have a 1995 R129 3.2 which I am renewing all the suspension arms on the rear. I have fitted all new Febi arms and lower wishbones.
The only problem is now I have replaced them all both rear wheels continually toe out despite any adjustment. I've double-checked all the part numbers and they tally with that model.
The only arm that looks different from the original is the upper control arm, which I figured is just a pattern part so may not look exactly the same. 🤔PXL_20250729_160646947.jpgPXL_20250729_160701059.jpg

Realistically there's 2 options here - either one of the parts Febi has supplied is wrong, or you've fitted them in the wrong location. Even as a pattern part, it should look pretty much the same as the original, which suggests it might be the former.

Thanks. I've ordered another eight arm kit from a different supplier. I'll check them one by one.

Hi
Not as yet as I was going to take it on a trailer to be tracked. As I've done the suspension and ball joints front and rear. It just seems a long way out even on full adjustment. I wondered if I had one of the arms the wrong way around. But looking at all the diagrams online they look correct. The trouble is I stripped all the suspension out end of last year and binned all the old arms then reassembled all the new ones last week.
I assume there's only one adjustment which is at the end of the cast ball joint arm.
Thanks

Thank you for your help. I'm going to strip it out again and do some head scratching.

Are you sure the diagonal arm in the first picture is the right way round? It looks wrong to me as you have metal to metal contact.

I think so. There's certainly no metal to metal contact, checked with any diagrams I could see online and it looked correct. It just feels as though the top controller arm is too short.
A new set of arms are arriving tomorrow, so I'll measure them one by one. I did talk to the SL shop today but none the wiser. It seems that all the suspension arms from 89 to 01 are identical.
Thanks for all the advice.

That multilink setup was used on probably half the Mercedes range over a couple of decades.

The 2 straight links on each side should be different lengths. If they're not, then something is amiss.

Thanks
I've got some new arms arriving today so I'll have another go. I don't know if I rotated them at 180° if that would make any difference.

Well I finally sussed it. Note to self, always check part numbers when buying things off fleebay..PXL_20250801_130420326.jpg Even if it says it's going to fit your vehicle. 🙄
Thanks everyone for all your help.
