Hi,
I have a 2006 R230 SL350 with the NTG1 Comand unit. The command unit boots up with the message "Flash file system will be formatted. All user data lost. It could take up to five minutes. Please do not turn off!". It then re-boot's after five minutes, and back to the same screen. None of the buttons work, other than the On button which re-boots the unit when held for ten seconds.
I understand that the Comand needs a firmware update, for which I have the disks for. However, there's already a disk in the Comand unit, and with the buttons inoperable, the eject button won't eject the existing CD so I can insert the update disk.
Does anyone know if there's a manual release/override to eject the disk whilst stuck on this screen? Any help would be greatly appreciated - been without music in the car for a month now
