radio code

Hi folks, my first post so please be kind.

Purchased a 2001 A class today and the radio asks for the code (battery had been disconnected) There is a card in the glove compartment that gives a 4 figure number but when i try to imput it the system seems to require a 5 figure number.
Wonder if anyone can help or advise where i can obtain correct code

Welcome to the forum.

I think you have two choices.
Take your V5 down to the dealers and they will give you your radio code for free.

Register on this site (Its Free) www.radio-code.lt

Input your radio serial number and the site generates the code.

I'd nip to the dealer myself

Visited main dealer today, got the code in 5 mins and a free coffee!! Not bad to say it was a used vehicle not even purchased from them.
