Rattle

Im a newbie with a hand full of niggly things that you always get when you first buy a car, i have a rattle coming from the rear, (dont we all!!) never had a merc before, i know this sounds daft but do the warning triangles clipped in the boot do this...Kev.

Could be the the triangle - remove it and see.

One of the boot lid springs rattled on mine (you'll find them behind the lining at the top of the rear wing) - small rag over it fixed that.

Is the rattle there only when being driven? or is it there when idling as well?

Its when its being driven, mostly when you go over a bump, theres plenty of those at the moment, meaning the pot holes !!...Kevin.
