Really?

Even more so, as those early XK8 had Nikasil lined engines that were eroded by sulphur in petrol.....or so I'm led to believe.

True, although it's probably had a factory replacement, the replacement itself can be Nikasil if fitted before Jaguar twigged what was going on !

Apology accepted :)

I dont think that was an apology nor should it warrant one, you are defensive & you deal in scrap/write off's if your past post' are truthful.

As you seem to take offence at what you consider unjustified comment's when are you going to apologise about your comments to me in this thread where you say (Quote Where does he say Cat D?
Supposition again! Quote)

When I explained before that I had said "the owner" & after the snide comment I told you it was told to me by phone & then the person who is now the new owner , said the person selling did confirm it was a Cat d , but you never did come back on that ??

You seem to 2 sets of ettiquite  Very ,very touchy in many ,many post's

You just use multiple accounts. I have one where the quality stuff is listed and one for the stuff that may get neg feedback. The registered addresses are the same.

Lose one account and you lose the lot, including anyone else who happens to share the same address or IP address.

Ebay really don't care about sellers anymore.

Prob with selling on e bay now is that everyone seems to be trying to pull a fast one, almost not worth the effort and just selling the lot at a car boot sale, no comeback and no hassle a few days after the sale ended, ie item damaged but they wouldnt pay for insurance, but its still your prob, or can you combine postage? no you won you pay its so simple:mad:

About time too. Prior to the changes, many Ebay sellers had become quasi retailers operating under the sort of conditions that legislation was introduced to curb.

Payback time for the dodgy sellers then :)

I'm about to sell my E320 on Ebay. I'm not sure if it will sell, as I am going to be asking £6.5k for an old W124 coupe but the question must be raised - would you buy a car from eBay without seeing it?

Unless it was a barn find 1989 500SL that had been forgotten about and had been trapped in a car-coon for 20 years, no reserve and no bids at 99p, I don' t think I'd waste my own time.

Very true - If you have a small feedback the prospect of a negative feedback will damage you, but these guys churning out cr*p after cr*p can afford a few blows.

And then they disappear....

feedback percentage is only based on the prior 12 months now, so this dilutes the impact of transaction volume to some extent.
