I thought i had already asked this, but cannot locate thread.
My ML270 has a rear heater fitted in centre consul, and it is on my list of things needing fixing. The controls work, the flaps move when asked (i can hear them) however, the rear blower does not work on any settings, i have checked fuse, appears good, have checked connection to control panel, also appears good.
I think i have worked out how to remove the heater from consul by taking the rear apart, however, anyone had same issue ?, do they just stop working ? Or is there a "reboot" procedure i have missed somewhere.
It cannot be a common fault as cannot find a thing on line about "rear heater fan failure" however, there are lots for sale on e bay, so wondering if it is common.
I suspect if i can get it out, i can connect 12 volts and see if it spins. As power getting to switch, am i right thinking its the operating side of the system that has failed ?
