Rear Sam unit on ml 280 sport

Hi I've been told that my rear Sam unit is gone due to water ingress. The break lights stay on even though it says left bulb is out.The drivers door doesn't lock off the key fob but all others do. When I'm driving it says drivers door is open and also says not in p position whilst driving. Does this sound like the sam unit . Also I've looked for a replacement but can't find the exact same code number. Has it got to be exactly the same to work. Thanks in advance

Whatever, you'll need someone versed in using STAR to code the replacement SAM to the options on you car.
Firstly I'd get the codes read using STAR to confirm the diagnosis.

Thanks where would I find somebody with STAR would that be a Mercedes garage. Thanks

Yes any MB dealership but also most good Merc independent, who would be significantly cheaper
