Rear View Camera stopped working

Hi

The rear view/reversing camera on my E-Class has stopped working. The camera cover does not open when it is put in reverse mode or via the settings in the menu.

The camera is still working as the cover is not fully closed and it comes on for a few seconds before the COMAND system shows an error. See pics.

Does the part need to be replaced or is it a software issue.

If I remember right, someone else had the camera cover motor broken. Check if it is available as a separate part as the camera itself seems fine.

I think I’ve got the same problem now on my c220d 2016 w205 anyone known where camera control module location is ?
