My driver's seat bolsters on both the upright and the base are starting to show a little wear. Hardly anything, but not 'like new' compared with the rest of the interior.

I've had a look at furniture clinic and scratch doctor etc at kits, but I'm not sure exactly how to guarantee a colour match.
Plus, my (I think napa) leather has white stitching, which I'd really like to retain.

Does anyone have any recommendations for either a kit that will be spot on, or for a leather repair specialist who can do a brilliant job here? Leicestershire/Nottinghamshire area?

I did have someone come and repaint the steering wheel (courtesy of my local specialist due to some minor scratching that happened when it was in for a service), but after a year or two, I see that paint/colourant has worn off to a large degree from the heavy wear surfaces on the steering wheel, leaving what looks like overspray (I assume the most well adhered colourant from the recolouring process that was done). Apparently this is the guy Merc call in to do their work locally, but I'm having doubts.

And if I have a go with a kit and it looks rubbish, can a pro come and rescue my botch job, so I have nothing to lose by trying?

Re the suppliers you mention , the usual request is to see if you can snip off a tiny sample of the leather from underneath the seats , or the hidden underside of a cushion ( back seat base is usually quite easy to pull up ) and try to snip off a small piece from somewhere it won't show . If you send in a sample , these places are usually quite good at matching colours , and then try applying it in a hidden spot where it won't be noticed before applying anywhere it will be seen .

I repainted the black leather parts of my wood/leather steering wheel about three years ago ; now constant use has worn it down again and I need to redo it - but I only used a tiny fraction of the bottle that I got and still have most of it . Easy to do with a small artists paintbrush and leave for a few hours to dry . I usually just put a bath towel over my drivers seat so no drips of black paint get onto the mushroom leather seat .
