red triangle

Hi all
red triangle on dashboard, can someone tell me what this means.
Is this is why my car won,t start.
I have no book to look at.

That's the switch for the hazard flashers

The dash button is for the hazards, if you mean the triangle symbol on the speedo cluster (it is yellow though not red) in my car user manual it says it is the ESP warning lamp.

If the engine is turning over on the starter my guess would be the CPS crank position sensor .

Hi All
Sorry for sounding a bit of a tit.

It was a yellow triangle and says VDO underneath on the dial/speedo.

It turns over but does n't seem to show any sign that it will work.
It was ok the day before no signs that anything was wrong. now it's gone into a coma.

Yellow triangle = ESP light. VDO is the manufacturer of the cluster. Ideally you really need to get the codes read to see whats wrong.
