Remappers in Middlesex?

You could try Angel Tuning although they are in Banbury or Viezu they have dealers all over and many offer a mobile service.

Am i right in thinking the c200 cdi and c220 cdi are the same engine with a different ecu? If thats true im guessing a remapped c200 would remap to the same bhp/torque as a remapped c220?

Mercedes do use the same engine as different 'capacities' in several models. The engines are usually the same capacity, but will have other differences between them. These will include ECU mapping, injectors and possibly other things of which I'm not aware. So, while remapping your 200cdi will get you some gain in performance, it may not bring it fully up to the level that you'd expect from a 220 and certainly not a remapped 220. The best thing is to talk to one of the tuners and see what they can offer. Alternatively, go to celtictuning.co.uk and use their online gizmo to show you what you can expect.

Had it done by BW chiptune in Hownslow in the end, There highly recomened in the BMW forums. Made a worlds difference to my car and is gaining more MPG. The guys at BW chiptune have a rolling road and definetly know what there doing, I highly recomend them

Did they remap it via the port?

I looked into having my 58 plate remapped and both Angel and Viezu said that it could only be done by removing the ECU. I was extremley reluctant to go down this route, my theory being if somethings in a sealed box, its sealed for a reason.

Which model? Some do need to have the ECU removed.

Not sure about a 58 plate, the later ones can as they have the Delphi DCM 3.5 ECU. If your ECU is earlier than this it needs to have the ECU opened, you may find some companies that have cracked it ( I know Eurocharged have cracked the encryption of the V6 and V8 petrol models)
