I have a Mercedes SLK 2005
The key fob will open the doors etc but will not turn in the ignition.
The spare works fine.
Any suggestions ?

Are you going to tackle this yourself, if so there is a video below on how to take out the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) it’s possible the secondary power coil at the end of the PCB has become detached or broken off, was the key dropped from a height at all?

You’re correct. Power coil come loose. Now repaired. AND NO NEED TO BUY A NEW ONE. Thanks for the help.
