Removal of Chrome Panel in the Door Recess

Not sure if this thread is in the right place, but, I guess our mods will move it in needs be . . . . . . .

I want to remove the chrome panel in the door recess of my SL (see photo)

Before I start pulling and levering, can anyone tell me the correct method of removal please?

Well, I've taken a small rubber wedge to the sill panel and this is one 'clip on part' that doesnt want to come up . . . . .the end being "wedged" lifts, but it requires the use of plenty of force, just to lift one end and even then, it didn't detach from the car.

I need to feed a phone charger cable under the panel and it lifts enough to allow me to place the cable, so, all is OK
