Hi all,

Need to remove the smoked window film from me W202 C230K and would be grateful for any tips or guidance on this.

Anyone done this before with success ?

Many Thanks

Yes, as above a hair dryer usually works but it can be a bit film dependent.
You may need some tar/glue adhesive remover afterwards also.

cheers,

Chris

Brake cleaner can be good for getting the sticky residue off.

Thanks all for your replies, very helpful.

Going to try this over the next couple of weekends and will let all know how I get on and if I can provide any pros/cons.

With respect, the best thing to get glue residue off, is tar remover, brake cleaner is brilliant but evaporates almost instantly.

Many thanks for the tip, I have both in the garage so will give them both a try.
