Resetting throttle adaptations

Listening

The icarsoft mb2 does this.

Are you talking about the gearbox reset thing?

Key in the ignition turn to when all the lights are on the dash but don’t start the car

Press throttle all the way and hold for 5 seconds

Turn the key to the off position

Release the throttle

Start the car and enjoy!

Gearbox reset.

Basically, the throttle response and gear change points are not static as the car learns your driving style. However, just because you end up commuting in traffic 90% of the time doesn't mean you necessarily want a dulled response to a kickdown for example. This reset puts the learnt parameters back to zero and usually results in a more lively car until it relearns or if you're banzai all the time anyway.

I had the adaptions on my CLS55 reset by using STAR. The car then had to be driven to a strict program for a set distance. This was all done for me by Olly.
