Now here's a stupid question. I don't recall having a vehicle without a revcounter until now so can I retrofit one?
I know it would be a fairly pointless feature on a 250 D but I find the huge clock that I get in its place unsightly. Other W124 models have a revcounter and smaller clock where I just have my clock.
If I were to get hold of the face, from a breakers or wherever, presumably the clock would power from wherever mine already does but what (if anything) would power the revcounter? Are they cable driven or electronic? And will my engine have a facility to power it?
I'm hoping that my engine shares whatever the TD version has that's needed
As a sidenote, I bought this car as a cheap hack and find myself being drawn towards improving and restoring it. I blame you guys for this
