Took the plunge the other day. Currently tunning 16s at the moment and been looking at 17s for a while. The thing that has stopped me is the not so old £400 tyres currently on them.
Well one of the refurb companies we use dropped a car off for us after refurbing a set for us. Five mins later hes taking mine away. Decided its worth spending a couple humdred getting the wheels sorted while I get my moneys worth out of them...
Opted to get them dipped, powder coated in black then finished in a shadow chrome...
Something a little diferent.
Hope they look ok as I wasn't the biggest fan of the sttle in the first place...
Pics to follow...

Update:
got the car back last week to be honest. been busy since and one minor glitch
quite happy, with the outcome. but totally forgot about centre caps

sat there pondering what to do. i decided to have a go at carbon wraping them.
so off comes the wheel to pop the centre out.
remove the chrome star trim away from the plastic cap. clean the chrome up.
wrap the cap with the 3m carbon film.

put it all back together again and pop it back in the wheel.
was quite impressed with the outcome. they broke the wheel up a little and didn't stand out to much.

so on to the next cap. start trying to cleam the star up and the bugger wouldn't have any of it. well annoyed. so decided to throw the towel in and just buy some.

they should be here soon so ill have the finsihed article done and dusted by tomorrow. fingers crossed
