Wondering If someone could help with an issue I have with my rev needle
Car is a 2010 W204 C350 CDI Blue efficiency
When I'm driving slowly through town, coasting and feathering the throttle at about 1200rpm and about 10-20mph, the rev needle bounces a bit, and the car can feel ever so slightly jerky with this bouncing.
It's almost as if the car isn't sure if it wants to change down a gear.
If I apply throttle it's fine and drives perfectly normal.
The problem seems to happen when the engine is warm, but sometimes it doesn't do it at all
I've had a gearbox oil and filter change, I've previously had Mercedes check all injectors and change the glow plug module, as it was struggling to start when cold. They said all injectors are perfect when they did that.
I've had a new egr valve fitted
A new MAF unit fitted
I scanned it with Icarsoft and no codes present
Also Mercedes have scanned it and said no faults stored
I've read that the solenoids on the auto gearbox can sometimes require replacing. If that was the case, wouldn't there be some sort of code stored, or EML light?
Perhaps my battery is on the way out?
Or maybe the throttle position sensor?
Clutching at straws here but would love to get to the bottom of this.
