RIP JPR Williams

Give that man an odd shaped ball and he couldn't half run

Many good hours watching him back in the 70s with my (Welsh) dad
A great player and part of a brilliant Welsh side
A true rugby icon from the days when rugby could be a brutal sport. Probably the best full back ever (Serge Blanco?) and unlimited courage. When you watch clips from the old matches, including the '73 Barbarian v NZ, he took no end of head shots.

Trivia note - he beat John Lloyd in the final, to become Wimbledon Junior Tennis Champion in '66. Quite a talent.

Taken too soon. RIP JPR.
Those Lions games did get a bit physical at times (but in a fun way of course ....)
