Hi all. Newbie here - I have an oil leak on my 2011 e class 2.1 diesel estate (OM651?).

It looks like a fairly easy diy possible job. There's not too much on You tube but I suppose it's the injectors (removing and replace) that are the thing that I've never dealt with before. What I gather is that I have to try to clean out the leaked engine oil sitting in the injector well (so it doesn't seep into the bore) before carefully removing the injectors themselves, and their respective copper sealing washers. Once the cam cover is off, check for cracking and warping.

Regarding re-assembly - assuming the cover is okay. I'll need a new gasket, new bolts and seals for the injectors. Is there anything else I'd need? - new cover bolts? special grease for the injectors? I assume avoiding pattern parts - which is the 'go to' supplier for Merc parts?

I have some info on fuel bleeding but confirmation would help

Any advice appreciated

Thank. Yeah, I did come across this video as I also have the oil cooler leak as well. Unfortunately they don't go into too much detail as far as the rocker cover gasket goes. I have found a couple of vid's that do show the gasket change - the main thing I'm struggling with is the method to unclip each plug and harness clip- It seems Merc used a different design for each. I snapped one of the fuel return T pieces yesterday Doh! I've a spare coming but not sure how to sweat the broken one off the flexipipe

Sorry i cant help you ..dont know much on new models ..may be a picture might help me to help you .
