E CLASS CONVERTABLE + B CLASS,
I have just had car MOT tested and tester says the 2 lower lights (the round type) arnt working, The car is a B class 2014 W246, question is are they daytime running lights or cornering lights? the handbook ref's both but need to know when they are supposed to come on before starting fault finding.

Depends on what they are . front foglamps only became part of the test for cars 2018 and onward (I think) . You used to be able to just tape over them . Different if they are daytime runners or cornering as you say.

When you drive the car at night do you not notice them coming on and off ??

Can't say I have noticed the lights coming on off while cornering but its very seldom these days that we are out in dark.

turned out to be DRL and can be turned off/on via settings in instrument cluster.
