E55k AMG Sold / S211 E320 CDI I6 sold W212 E63 6.2 N/A saloon. S212 e250 cdi .
I think I know the answer 🥴 but just curious looking at different models.

Does the SE spec body have differences to that of the sport. Do the front and rear arches of the sport protrude more than the SE body and also the lower side skirting are they different or am I imagine these differences.

The sills and bumpers are different twixt the Sport and the Avantgarde / SE, but all the metal body panels are the same. So the wheel arches are all the same.

From memory, the grille has different colour slats too.

The front wings on the E63 are wider than on the standard models to accommodate the wider front track, but the difference is quite subtle and not immediately obvious. The rear arches on the E63 are the same as on the standard models.

Thanks st13phil.

My se model does look plainer, not as sharp compared to the sport. I think the sport has a Chrome trim running halfway along the door line also. I think it's the 16's wheels that mine is running gives the impression the arches are softer and not so sharp. I also think exterior colour gives the impression of a sharper looking car. Especially the silvers and lighter colours.

My Sport does have the chrome trim down the side....along with the other parts mentioned. It might go to be honest.....to me it looks a bit out of place on something called a Sport

Mine has the the 3 vented front grill. But mine is an SE/avantgarde. I thought it was only the sport that had the 3 slated front grill. I'm confused 🥴. Mine also has the 16's 5 twin spoked alloys. Seems lower at the front mine. Which suggests it's a sport or had lower springs fitted. But none sport numbers and trim. 🥴

The luxury being the elegance ?has the 4 slatted grill apparently

We didn’t get the W/S212 in Elegance trim. It was SE as the base level, then Avantgarde as the “luxury” version and then Sport.

Sport & Avantgarde both had suspension 15mm (from memory) lower than the SE.

I have a pdf copy of the sales brochure I can share with you if you pm me your email address.

Thanks st13phil, will do 👍

So mine is an SE/avantgarde in the spec history. So unsure if it has the lower suspension. Maybe it's an SE but had lower springs fitted. Definitely lower at the front. Mine is. Would mine be the softest suspension on offer. Still confused lol. To many options with model to get my head in a spin lol.

Thanks Phil

You are correct indeed it's a bog standard SE lol. I'm really happy with the car. It drives really well, it's different engine carrater to that of the e320 om648 but that felt old and did have moon and back mileage but still drove well for its age. This feels much fresher and pulls well for 2.1 bi turbo. Thanks for the brochure documents it's appreciated. Thanks 👍

Nowt wrong with SE. It's all about taste and VFM.

It may not have fins, but the suspension setting, and ... probably the wheel choice... will give a smoother ride on UK roads.
